| A 16-year old NGO, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, provides mid-day meals to over 1.6 million children, every school day. The Foundation has been constantly striving to achieve its mission of feeding 5 million children by 2020. We all agree that food is one of the primary needs for healthy development of children. Alas, not all children have access to this basic need. Hence, in association with the Government of India and supporters like you, we strive to provide nutritious meals to children through our Mid-Day Meal Programme. It is a humongous task, indeed! But, we believe, collective effort can make it achievable. |
